Pakistan beat England by 4 wickets in World Cup Warm up match

England v Pakistan - ICC CWC Warm Up MatchSYDNEY – Pakistan beat England by 4 wickets in the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup 11th warm-up match at the Sydney on Wednesday.

Misbah’s responsible batting helped Pakistan to chase down the 250 runs target comfortably against England in 2nd and final warm-up match for both teams.

England had won the toss and elected to bat first setting a target of 251 for Pakistan. Joseph Root top scored for England smashing 85 off 89 balls in an innings which included five boundaries. Gary Ballance scored 57 off 81 balls.

Yasir Shah was the pick of the Pakistani bowlers with figures of 3/45. Sohail Khan picked up two wickets in nine overs while Shahif Afridi, Wahab Riaz and Ehsan Adil had one wicket each.

Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 3 wickets in their first warm up game but it’s out of form top order remains a matter of concern.

Pakistan will open their World Cup campaign against India on February 15.
